We at Referenzfabrik.H2 develop and demonstrate container-based hydrogen microgrids that convert surplus solar power into hydrogen, store it, and convert it back into electricity as needed. Through innovative manufacturing and assembly approaches, we aim to significantly reduce production costs—with applications ranging from South Africa to Namibia and, in the future, Europe as well. “Our goal is to establish our own hydrogen infrastructure in Chemnitz,” says Dr. Ulrike Beyer, head of Referenzfabrik.H2.
