The technology mall has been developed to provide an overview of technological alternatives and their respective suppliers. It differentiates between the components to be manufactured, the offered services and the partners involved.
For the components such as BPP, MEA, gasket, and stack, the production modules required for manufacturing them are presented, along with the suitable processes and a description of the plant technology available in the value creation community. Individual processes can be combined into process chains under specific target constraints (e.g., high production volumes, high quality). The process chain representation is realized across all components using the Hy-Ventus (and Hy-Victus) system designs.
The service modules are presented and detailed in a similar way.
In order to enable the partners of Referenzfabrik.H2 to substantially increase their visibility in the field of hydrogen system production, a presentation of their competencies and infrastructures as well as a corresponding classification in the process chain is provided.
Additionally, a web portal is also part of the technology mall, where all research and industry partners offer their services, components and systems altogether comprehensively.
The advantage for interested partners is that they receive a coordinated and synchronized offer in terms of portfolio and timeframe, which creates customized solutions.
In the next stage of development, a database connection will be established which will further increase the variety of offers. In parallel, the technology mall will be expanded to include a virtual platform. The platform will be fed by the digital twins of the physical production modules and will be used for the economic and technological evaluation as well as analysis of the processes up to complete value creation system.
Together, partner companies and Fraunhofer infrastructure will connect their production modules to establish a high-throughput manufacturing workflow that will be a blueprint for industrial roll-out.
