Self-sufficient - Flexible - Scalable

Critical Energy Infrastructure Powered by Hydrogen!

Energy supply for Industry & Logistics

The H2 Microgrid

A container-based, self-sufficient energy system enables renewable energy to be stored efficiently and used as needed. An electrolyzer converts excess electricity – such as that generated by solar panels – into hydrogen. This hydrogen is stored in high-pressure tanks and converted back into electrical energy in a fuel cell as needed.

The measurement and operational data collected during operation are systematically analyzed to draw reliable conclusions about the behavior of the stack and the overall system. The insights gained from this analysis are directly incorporated into the further development of components and production technologies. As a result, we are already achieving longer service life, improved efficiency, and lower system costs.

HygO - Microgrid with Water Treatment | Namibia

The “Made in Germany” brand, which continues to be recognized worldwide as a seal of quality and innovation – both for traditional export goods in the mechanical and plant engineering sectors and, increasingly, for GreenTech products – will be leveraged to establish a hydrogen and oxygen ecosystem for microgrids in Namibia.

Hydrogen Tryout Areal (HyTrA) | South Africa

In Cape Town, South Africa, the Hydrogen Tryout Area (HyTrA) was installed on the Alu-Cab site. Here, the existing solar power system is used to produce green hydrogen, thereby “storing” energy for future use. In addition to the microgrid’s core functionality, HyWindow and HyFrame expand the HyGrid with offerings and services. This ensures that the local population is involved in hydrogen-related activities and also fosters local economic growth.
