Hydrogen Transfer Days 2025
Three intensive event days on developments, technologies and manufacturing processes of hydrogen systems.
With the Hydrogen Transfer Days 2025, we created three intensive event days on current developments, technologies and manufacturing processes of hydrogen systems. Representatives from research and industry used the platform for professional exchange, hands-on insights and the joint discussion of future solution approaches.
To kick things off, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Welf-Guntram Drossel, Executive Director of Fraunhofer IWU, opened the event. Participants then had the opportunity to view our technologies in detail during tours through our test fields.
In the following days, the focus was on expert lectures on key components of modern hydrogen systems. Topics included the potential of hydrogen and current work from the H2GO projects and the flagship hydrogen project H2Giga-FRHY. The lectures were complemented by hands-on insights into machines, processes and production solutions along the entire value chain.
The final day was dedicated, among other things, to assembly technologies for stacks, application examples based on technologies for mobility and our microgrids, concepts of the system circular economy, as well as questions of quality assurance, virtual reference architectures and the qualification of skilled workers.
The Hydrogen Transfer Days 2025 impressively demonstrated how important close cooperation between research and industry is for the successful ramp-up of hydrogen technologies. Fraunhofer IWU thanks all participants for the intensive exchange and the valuable impulses for the further development of hydrogen system production.
